About Me

My name is Mary Pyne, and I help people think things through, find their own answers and make decisions they own with confidence.

I’ve discovered what can happen when you listen in a different way, when you create the conditions that can unlock fresh thinking, courageous thinking.

I teach leaders a way to focus attention on what matters, and a way to break through what’s holding them back.

I’ve always been interested in figuring out solutions and finding answers. In 2018, I had reached a stage in my career where I wanted something to change. I was working as Head of HR and Corporate Services in a large organisation and having worked in a range of management roles, I had achieved a lot. I knew something needed to change for me, yet at first, I couldn’t decide what direction to follow.

I had learned about Nancy Kline’s Thinking Environment during my training as an Executive Coach, and had experienced the power of thinking in an undistracted and encouraging environment. When I faced a crossroads in my own life, I knew this was a way I could think things through for myself, where I could get past what was limiting me and think clearly and confidently about what to do next.

Thinking things through in this way was a profoundly powerful experience. It gave me the clarity and courage to find my own answers and to change my way of working. This led me to train as a Time to Think Coach and Facilitator, and now I work with clients, giving them the opportunity to do their best thinking, either individually or in teams or groups.

Building on my work as a Coach and Facilitator, I qualified as a Time To Think Consultant, and I’m delighted to offer accredited Thinking Environment Programmes in Ireland. My life was transformed as a result of what I discovered on a Time To Think Programme in 2018 and I love sharing with others what this way of working and this way of being can change. Talk to me if you want to do your own best thinking and learn how to make better decisions.

What I do

I help leaders cultivate fresh and creative thinking in their organisations, teams and their lives. I’ve used this approach myself and it has enabled me to go to the unexplored edge of my own thinking and as a result make better decisions. I can do the same for you.

My Qualifications

I’m an accredited Time to Think Consultant, Coach and Facilitator. I am a Fellow of CIPD (Chartered Institute of Personnel Development) and a certified Mediator, with qualifications in Organisational Behaviour, in Public Management, in Executive Coaching and in Employment Law.

The quality of everything we do depends on the quality of the thinking we do first...
The quality of our thinking depends on the way we treat each other while we are thinking.
